Getting Around?

Colonial Beach is a "Golf-Cart" friendly town. There seems to be more golf carts than cars! There are a few rental companies in town. We recommend reserving early as they tend to book up quick in the summer season!

Each of our homes has wifi capability with ample speed to work remotely.

How big is Colonial Beach?

Colonial Beach is a rather small town. It is relatively flat and easy to walk or bike to most venues. The downtown area is near the public beach area and is a few streets wide and several streets long.

What is known as The Point?

A large portion of Colonial Beach is located on "The Point" which is a peninsula of land that has the Potomac River on one side and Monroe Bay on the other. The Point is only five streets wide-one along each waterfront, and three interior streets. You can walk or bike the perimeter of The Point which is about 3 miles in total.

Do we have to pay for parking?

All our homes have free parking in our driveways. There are some streets in downtown Colonial Beach the require payment to park--primarily Washington Avenue and the beachfront area on Irving Avenue (signs will indicate Pay-To-Park areas.) Please note: if you rent a golf cart, your golf cart will have a sticker that allows you to park in any of these designated areas without additional charges.)

Are there any grocery stores nearby?

There are two grocery stores in Colonial Beach. Food Lion and Hall's Supermarket. There is also Dollar General and Family Dollar

All our homes have towels, linens, blankets, soaps, shampoos, toiletries, and fully stocked kitchens. Please bring your beach towels, beach chairs and sunscreen.
